01  The exchange

Your surplus is somebody’s fill.

List a batch and the platform ranks every counterpart within 50 km on the same EWC code whose window overlaps yours, nearest and best-fitting first. Or browse the open market in full and start the conversation yourself.

Terms are between you and the other site. The platform records what you agree, holds no money, and takes no position in the trade.

02  Compliance

The file assembles itself.

You know the route. What costs the day is everything around it: the registration retyped into a portal, a standstill nobody is counting, a Statement of Conformity somebody still has to write.

The registration is built from what you already entered when you listed the batch. The five working days are counted against the Irish calendar: registration day is day 0, weekends and public holidays out. The Statement of Conformity and End User Declaration are generated, versioned and immutable.

You certify, not us. BP-N002/2024 is a self-certified route and the platform never decides that a batch qualifies. It prepares the record, counts the clock, and shows you what it is relying on.

Registration day is day 0; weekends and Irish public holidays are out. The panel prints the convention it counted by, because an operator relying on that date is entitled to see the basis for it.

03  Chain of custody

A record that can be checked.

The evidence is made at the gate, on the driver’s phone: a photograph of the load, a GPS stamp, the tonnage, and the receiver’s signature on the glass. No account needed on their side, and nothing to lose in a cab.

Every event is appended and never edited, each one sha256-hashed over its own content and the hash before it. The whole chain is recomputed every time the record is opened, so a row altered afterwards reads as broken instead of passing quietly. In the demo you can run the same arithmetic in your own browser.

Reviewed before a haulier can take a load, with the reference compared against the NWCPO public register. That register publishes no expiry dates, so the expiry on file is watched separately at 30, 7 and 1 days; a lapsed permit stops receiving loads.

Self-billing under VATCA 2010 s.71: the buyer draws up and issues the supplier’s invoice from the delivered tonnages, and it is issued when the supplier accepts it.
