The single-case route, when BP-N002 does not fit
4 stepsAbout 10 minutesOwner, admin or site manager (producer side only)
When a batch fails a national criterion it is not automatically waste. It is a case for the EPA to determine. The single-case notification goes through EDEN's By-Product module, and the app tracks it to a recorded outcome.
1
Submit the notification on EDEN
The submission itself happens on EDEN’s By-Product module. Make the case there: the material, the certainty of use, the absence of adverse impacts. Note the reference it issues (ART27-NNNN).
2
Record the submission
Back on the track, Record submission takes the reference and the submission date. The deal now shows Awaiting EPA determination to both sides, and nothing can move.
3
Wait, without a countdown
There is no fixed period on this route: the EPA must issue a determination, and its own guidance suggests expecting around ten weeks. That is a programme decision, not a countdown, so plan the works accordingly.
4
Record the determination
When the decision arrives, record it: Record: by-product opens the deal for movement; Record: waste (final) closes the route, and the material moves, if it moves at all, as waste, with the levy.
